(ECNS) -- In 2021, salaries in Beijing kept rising as a whole compared with 2020, with the median annual salary in the monetary and financial services sector reaching 293,600 yuan ($40,971.25), the highest of all industries, according to the latest government report published on Monday.
The pandemic-hit industries, including accommodation, catering, culture, sports, entertainment, wholesale and retail, were recovering and have witnessed a highlighted increase in median salary.
The top five median salaries in 2021 were in monetary and financial services ($40,971.25), capital market services ($40231.65), Internet and related services ($34286.91), the press and publication industry ($28244.49), and insurance industry ($26821.1).
In general, the financial sector, digital economy, and service industry have the most competitive salaries, according to the report.
