First customized train returns stranded workers to Tibet's Shigatse

(ECNS) – A total of 680 Shigatse residents who were stranded in Nyingchi City due to the recent outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic in Tibet Autonomous Region arrived at Shigatse Railway Station by train C926 on Thursday

It marks the first customized train serving local returnees to resume work and production in the region.

Shigatse Railway Station requires passengers to provide negative nucleic acid results within 48 hours upon arrival and a health code, wear masks and have their body temperatures tested to contain the virus.

Tibet reported four local transmitted Covid-19 cases on Saturday.
