(ECNS) -- Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Zhao Lijian said on Monday that he hopes young people from China and the Republic of Korea (ROK) would carry forward the traditional friendship between the two countries and contribute to creating brighter prospects in bilateral relations.
Zhao made the remarks at a press conference in response to questions about the China-ROK Friendship Youth Forum 2020 held online and offline in Seoul on November 19.
China and the ROK enjoy geographic proximity, close cultural links, and people-to-people affinity, Zhao said.
"China stands ready to work together with the ROK to support stronger youth exchange and cooperation and make new progress in bilateral relations," he added.
