(ECNS) -- James Harden of the Houston Rockets appeared in Peking Opera costumes at a meeting with Beijing fans on Monday as part of a promotional tour.
At Beijing University of Technology, Harden stunned fans with signature shots at the basket, not in a traditional Adidas T-shirt and shorts, but in colorful costumes of a stylized Chinese form of opera.
Before Harden's appearance, two performers played crosstalk and merged Harden's classic step-back shooting in their show. Harden followed up with a special Peking Opera costume and displayed some classic Peking Opera moves.
The superstar's beard also fit well with the makeup of opera as character indicator.
Harden shared some tips for playing basketball like a pro and interacted closely with five children during a competition.
The star has made previous trips to China as he and the Rockets are extremely popular in the country.
