The China Coast Guard said it "took control measures" on Tuesday against the Philippine vessels that illegally entered the waters near the Ren'ai Reef of the Nansha Islands in the South China Sea.
The coast guard said in a brief statement released on Tuesday morning that its action was conducted in accordance with the law, without revealing further details.
