The European Commission recently initiated an anti-subsidy investigation on China's new energyvehicles, and China has noticed that the sampling is not compliant with standards and the results are unfair, the Ministry of Commerce said on Thursday.
The products under investigation are new energyvehicles manufactured by three local Chinese companies. The sampling is inconsistent with the standards and the investigation process is not transparent, which is suspected of violating the rulesof the World Trade Organization, the ministry said.
He Yadong, spokesmanof the ministry, said during a news conference in Beijing that such a measure is a discriminatory approach toward Chinese electric vehicle companies.
In addition, the European Commission excluded EU member states enterprises with high production volumes and sales in itssampling of EU electric vehicle makers, and the sampling results cannot represent the objective situation, the ministry said.
