The Navy of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) launched its official Internet micro-blog account (http://t.people.com.cn/planavy) on the People's Daily Online (http://www.people.com.cn), the first of its kind among all the major units of the PLA, on April 22, 2015.
The PLA Navy's micro-blog account is called "PLA Navy Release", which will release the latest information on the PLA Navy's important military operations and military exchanges with foreign countries and so forth, and response to the Navy-related public opinions, according to sources.
The official micro-blog account will also introduce the PLA Navy's history, development and achievements, and provide other information services on conscription and open-day activities of the PLA Navy.
