首支街道反恐民兵分隊深圳成立

據了解，經過20天的全封閉專業集訓，深圳市清水河街道辦民兵反恐應急分隊在廣東邊防總隊機動支隊訓練基地正式揭牌成立。這支民兵分隊是全國第一支定位于街道一級的維穩反恐常備力量，組建于今年4月，目前共有隊員20名(其中，2名為女性)，均為退伍軍人。[查看全文]

China's first counter-terrorism militia at street level was unveiled to the public on Wednesday in Shenzhen, a city immediately north of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.

The militia has 20 members including two women. Most of them are veterans and responsible for maintaining social stability, countering terrorism and dealing with emergencies at Qingshuihe Street of south China's Guangdong province.

The militia is equipped with armor, emergency-handling vehicles and medical personnel.

Established in April, it has conducted a 20-day training program.

Chinese cities like Guiyang in the province of Guizhou and Beijing have strengthened their security. Military forces and special policemen were dispatched for joint patrols on streets after a string of violent attacks.
