Training course for barracks' all-purpose card starts

The training course for construction pilot of the all-purpose card system in the barracks of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) started on October 16, 2012.

96 professional personnel from various units including the troop units of the Lanzhou Military Area Command (MAC) of the PLA, the Fourth Military Medical University of the PLA, the Engineering College of the Air Force of the PLA and the Engineering College of the Second Artillery Force of the PLA attended the course.

This training course aimed to push forward the information construction of the PLA military barracks, give full play to the military security card and prepare for the unified deployment of the all-purpose card system construction across the PLA troop units.

According to a leader from a related department under the General Logistics Department (GLD) of the PLA, besides paying salary, issuing uniform and seeking medical treatment by the card, the serviceman security card can also be used for dining, shopping, recording attendance, entrance guard and query by leveraging the comprehensive all-purpose-card system composed of existing network and specialized hardware devices in the barracks.
