Xu Caihou, vice chairman of China's Central Military Commission, met with Croatian Defense Minister Ante Kotromanovic in Beijing on Tuesday, pledging to strengthen the two countries' military ties.
Xu said China appreciates Croatia's firm stand on the one-China policy and is willing to enhance exchanges at all levels and broaden cooperation in all fields with Croatia.
"China attaches great importance to the two sides' military relationship and hopes to create a new chapter in developing the relationship," Xu said.
Kotromanovic said Croatia will bolster pragmatic military cooperation with China in such fields as personnel training and combating piracy, as well as work together with China to enhance bilateral relations.
