Chinese Embassy in Israel to assist evacuation of nationals starting from Friday
(ECNS) -- The Chinese Embassy in Israel on Wednesday issued a notice calling for the evacuation registration of Chinese nationals as tensions between Israel and Iran continue to escalate.
The embassy stated via its official WeChat account that the ongoing Israel-Iran conflict continues to escalate, with rising casualties and a highly volatile situation. The possibility of further deterioration cannot be ruled out.
Considering factors such as the current situation, route safety, convenient customs clearance, and flight availability comprehensively, the embassy will begin to assist Chinese nationals willing to evacuate in groups starting from Friday, the notice said.
Evacuees will be transported by bus to the Taba Border Crossing on the Israel-Egypt border and then enter Egypt. Registration is now open.
Registrants must hold a Chinese passport or travel document, including Hong Kong and Macao SAR passports, or mainland travel permits for Taiwan residents. Individuals without a passport must present their Chinese national ID card, said the notice.
