(ECNS) -- China on Monday began implementing a trial visa-free policy for ordinary passport holders from Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait, and Bahrain, further expanding its unilateral visa-free friend circle.
From June 9, 2025, to June 8, 2026, eligible passport holders from these countries enjoy 30-day visa-free entry for business, tourism, family visits, or cultural exchanges.
The United Arab Emirates and Qatar have enjoyed full mutual visa exemption with China since 2018. With the addition of these four Gulf countries, China has now achieved full visa-free coverage for all member states of the Gulf Cooperation Council.
Eligible foreign nationals can travel to China without applying in advance at Chinese embassies or consulates abroad.
