Empty dish act 光盤行動 guāng pán xíng dòng

A recent levy passed by the Beijing government that aims to reduce food waste at restaurants. Advocates are calling on diners to always ask for food they don't eat to be packaged as takeaway. Food waste is a severe problem in China, where every year around 60 million tons of food is wasted – enough to feed 200 million people.
