    Guilin combats the city's most severe flooding since 1998(1/11)

    The water level at the Guilin Hydrological Station reached 148.65 meters on Wednesday (with the warning level at 146.0 meters), exceeding the warning level by 2.65 meters. It is the highest water level since 1998.

    Affected by the continuous heavy rainfall, Lijiang River and Xiangjiang River have experienced a water level rise of 1 to 4.66 meters.

    The upstream Dayongjiang Hydrological Station in the Lijiang River reached a flood peak at 11:35, 3.90 meters above the warning level, marking the largest flood since the station was established in 1953.
