China's second Qinghai-Tibet research team completes scientific survey at Co Ngoin Lake(1/3)

A research team of the second comprehensive scientific expedition on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau completed a scientific survey on Sunday at the plateau lake Co Ngoin Lake, which is at an altitude of 4,500 meters in Xainza County, in Tibet Autonomous Region. The team collected research samples such as lakebed long core and lake sediments through the lake drilling platforms and gravity drill samplers. The samples can date back as far as 40,000 years.
