Located in Jinlan Temple Village, Shitan Town, Zengcheng District, Jinlan Temple Site is the earliest prehistoric site in Guangzhou. With an archaeological excavation area of 800 square meters, Jinlan Temple site has been found about 500 square meters of prehistoric shell mound accumulation as of April 13. A total of 44 tombs have been found, of which 42 are in the late Neolithic Age (about 5000-3500 BC) and 2 are in the Warring States Period (475-221 BC). 35 tombs have been cleaned and 34 human bones have been unearthed.
