This photo taken on March 9, 2021 shows the "miracle pine" that survived the 2011 tsunami in Japan. The pine tree has lived over two hundred years, and is the only one of the 70,000 trees left standing in the devastated town of Rikuzentakata, Japan. Its roots died from exposure to salt water in 2012. Thanks to experts for inserting a metal skeleton into its trunk and added replica branches and leaves, the 27-metre (89ft) tree still stands there, a symbol of hope. (Photo/VCG)
