Opening party for World Cup

The World Cup begins on Thursday! Boxing Cat Brewery is hosting an opening party: RMB100 gets you entrance and three drink tickets. Note that the first game doesn't start until 4AM, so plan and caffeinate ahead accordingly.

At 10PM, the wonderfully weird UK electro-pop band Hot Chip will do a DJ set as part of Fake Music Media's Electric City party. Hot Chip has been making lighthearted, throwback pop music infused with soul and electro since the early 2000's. Bandmembers Felix Martin and Al Doyle, who was an occasional member of LCD Soundsystem's live band, will DJ.
