A sublime production delving deep into Beijing folk culture is about to hit the stage for the first time in the capital. The show is called "The Longfu Temple", after the temple of the same name.
Through music and drama, the show aims to present the many facets of Beijing folk culture. With its more than 600 years of history, Longfu temple in eastern Beijing is a living witness to the last two feudal dynasties.
Through the performance, audiences will learn more about the city's long history. But the organizers not only want to help viewers relive the past --they also want people to see the future, with their feet standing firm on rich cultural grounds.
