The Malaysia Healthcare Travel Council held a press conference in Beijing on Monday to launch the official promotional video of Malaysia Healthcare Travel. It also held exhibitions in Beijing to promote the services.

According to the CEO of MHTC, Malaysia received over 500,000 medical tourists from all around the world last year, with about 11,000 coming from China.
There are 72 hospitals registered under MHTC, providing cosmetic surgery, fertility treatment and other medical care.
The CEO also said MHTC has set very stringent criteria for domestic hospitals to register for healthcare travel.
DR. Mary Wong still said Chinese patients can easily fit the multi-cultural society because Chinese language is widely spoken in her country.
The country has also prepared dedicated health tourism companies providing services including locating the appropriate physicians and healthcare facilities, travel arrangements and tour packages.
Malaysian officials are confident that the healthcare travel will be more popular in China regarding to the price.
In addition, travelers seeking medical treatment in Malaysia can get their visas immediately with required documents. With a host of tourism attractions, patients' family members can also enjoy some vacation time.
