(ECNS) -- Guiyang City and Guian New Area in southwest China's Guizhou Province jointly held a low-altitude economy industry launch conference and first flight ceremony in Guiyang on Saturday.
This event saw 20 projects signed with a total intended investment of 10.55 billion yuan (about 1.45 billion dollars), covering diverse sectors such as manufacturing, application scenarios, infrastructure, and financial products.
Fan Huizheng, a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Guiyang Municipal Committee and executive vice mayor, stated that Guiyang and Guian will focus on technology research and development, equipment manufacturing, infrastructure, application scenarios, and security to build a comprehensive low-altitude economy ecosystem.
Guiyang and Guian have planned 133 projects related to equipment manufacturing, infrastructure, and supporting services for the low-altitude industry, with a total investment of 32.264 billion yuan.
The two regions have also partnered with financial institutions to launch a product, offering customized financial and insurance services for low-altitude enterprises in areas such as property, operations, safety, and patent protection.
The computing power scale of Guiyang and Guian exceeds 64 EFLOPS (quintillion floating-point operations per second), with intelligent computing accounting for over 95 percent, placing them among the top domestic hubs for intelligent computing capabilities.
Looking ahead, Guiyang and Guian will leverage their strengths in computing power empowerment and airspace airworthiness to further develop the industry. By creating exemplary application scenarios, they aim to drive the growth of the low-altitude economy in Guizhou and the broader western region of China.
