RCEP Support Unit office launched in Indonesia

(ECNS) -- The inauguration ceremony of the RCEP Support Unit (RSU) office was held at the ASEAN Secretariat in Jakarta, Indonesia, on Monday, marking the full operation of the RSU, said China’s Ministry of Commerce.

The RSU is a significant milestone for the RCEP institutional construction, which will ensure a more effective implementation of the RCEP agreement and foster deeper regional cooperation, said the ministry.

Secretary-General of ASEAN, Kao Kim Hourn, alongside Budi Santoso, Minister of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia and other representatives from 15 RCEP member states including ASEAN countries, Australia, China, Japan, South Korea and New Zealand participated in the ceremony.
