    3D show 'Young Filmmakers' Perspectives on China' launched in Brazil

    (ECNS) -- The online 3D exhibition themed "Young Filmmakers' Perspectives on China" (https://vr.chinanews.comwas officially launched during the China-Brazil youth storytelling event held at the University of S?o Paulo in Brazil on Tuesday.

    Jointly held by China News Service and Beijing Normal University, the 3D show makes it easier for global audience to enjoy the outstanding works of the “Looking China” program from over the years.

    A total of 36 short films shot by students from the University of S?o Paulo displayed at the immersive show reveal the rich and colorful culture as well as life in China from various angles, taking the audience into a unique scene in an immersive way. Each film tells a story about along with creators’ impressions. Visitors are free to explore each story to gain a better understanding of China.

    The 3D program displays the achievements of the “Looking China Youth Film Program”, organized by the The Huilin Culture Foundation of Beijing Normal University and the Academy for International Communication of Chinese Culture, and has been held for 14 times since its inception in 2011.

    For nine consecutive years since 2016, Brazilian youths have participated in a series of “Looking China” activities in 11 provinces and cities in China, including Fujian, Hubei, Guangdong, Shandong, Liaoning, Anhui provinces, Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, and Shanghai and Chongqing Municipalities, as well as in the “Looking Back at China” program, “Looking at China from Overseas”, and other similar activities. The “Looking China” Alumni Association has been established at the University of S?o Paulo.

    The “Looking China” event now has become an important brand for the exchange between the film and television majors of the university and China, attracting a large number of outstanding Brazilian young film and television talents to participate in every year.

    Cecília Mello, a professor at the University of S?o Paulo and advisor of “Looking China”, said in her speech at the “China-Brazil Youth Storytelling” event that these young people were not only attracted by the breathtaking landscapes of China, but also deeply moved by the warmth, resilience and strength of the Chinese people. She wished that the friendship between Brazil and China would last forever.

    More than 200 students and faculty members of the University of S?o Paulo and people from all walks of life attended the storytelling event.
