'Flying girl of Ningbo' becomes world champion at ISF U15 Gymnasiade

(ECNS) -- Chen Yuxie, 14, won the girls' 100-meter final in 11.56 seconds at the ISF U15 Gymnasiade held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on Monday. 

This achievement equals the record set at the ISF World School Summer Games U18 in 1982.

The girl is a second-year junior school student from Ningbo, Zhejiang Province. She is dubbed "Flying girl of Ningbo" for her amazing speed.

She said that her icon is Chinese star sprinter Su Bingtian and that she would continue to push her boundaries.

The second ISF U15 Gymnasiade kicked off in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on Sunday.
