Beijing reports 509 new locally transmitted, 1,139 asymptomatic COVID cases

(ECNS) -- Beijing reported 509 new locally transmitted COVID-19 infections and 1,139 asymptomatic cases on Wednesday, said Beijing Municipal Health Commission on Thursday.

Among the 509 infections, 37 were converted from asymptomatic cases under quarantine.

Authorities said 328 cases on Wednesday were found outside quarantined areas.

Another eight imported infections and 10 asymptomatic cases were also reported on Wednesday.
