(ECNS) -- To promote winter sports, Chinese President Xi Jinping has inspected three competition zones of the 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games over two days in January 2021.
"When the youth are strong, China will be strong; when our sports are better, our country will be better," he once said. Xi went to watch training by many teenagers and greeted them with a shoulder-rubbing — a special gesture in the hockey rink.
Although time flies, the encouragement from the president has always inspired them. Some of the teenagers hope to show their skills on the world arena.
