(ECNS) -- Argentine President Cristina Kirchner will lead a large delegation of about 100 entrepreneurs during her two-day visit to China, cabinet chief Jorge Capitanich said on Wednesday.

Argentina seeks to strengthen bilateral commercial ties via the trip from Feb 3 to Feb 4, Capitanich told a press conference.

Leaders of both countries will exchange views and sign a number of cooperation agreements to further enhance the China-Argentina partnership and expand investment in various fields, namely hydroelectric facilities, education, as well as cultural and transportation sectors, it was added.

China will invest $4.7 billion in the construction of two hydropower stations in Santa Cruz, in the south of Argentina, while the latter deals with the financing process.

Hydroelectric dams currently account for 31 percent of all power generated in Argentina, with plans to increase this to 41 percent over the next ten to fifteen years.

The state visit is also aimed at increasing and diversifying the export of Argentinian goods to China, Capitanich stated.
