(ECNS) -- China is to spur the mobile game market by simplifying approval procedures for games, Beijing Business Today reported.

Drafting of a regulation to simplify such procedures and reduce the processing time for mobile gaming is currently underway, and is expected to be released by the end of December, according to the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television (SARFT).

A mobile game cannot be 'topped up' by users before it is officially approved, which means processing time directly affects game developer profits, said Zhu Jialiang, Jingjie Games CEO.

An unnamed insider said the move is a positive signal for the mobile game market, which will attract more investment and boost the industry's development.

China's online game sector made 27.76 billion yuan ($4.4 billion) in the third quarter this year, while this niche made 6.98 billion yuan ($1.14 billion), a year-on-year growth of 72.8 percent.
