(ECNS) -- Two tourists from Hong Kong have been injured in a snowstorm-triggered avalanche in Nepal, Xinhua News Agency reported, citing a local hospital.
The hospital in the capital Kathmandu said on Thursday that they had admitted two Hong Kong tourists who suffered frostbite in the avalanche, but they were not in critical condition.
Soldiers were keeping guard outside the hospital, and reporters couldn't get in and learn more details.
The Chinese Embassy in Nepal confirmed on Thursday that no Chinese nationals were dead or missing in the disaster.
Nepalese authorities said the same day that rescuers had evacuated 117 foreign tourists and Nepalese people stranded in mountainous districts.
Officials said at least 32 people, including 12 foreign trekkers, were killed and dozens were still missing after a snowstorm triggered by Cyclone Hudhud in India brought unexpected rainfall and storms on Tuesday.
