(ECNS) -- Tracks, hair and feces spotted in northeast China on Friday are suspected of belonging to a Siberian tiger set free by Russia President Vladmir Putin, according to chinanews.com.

The tiger named Kuzya, one of three set free by Putin in May, had crossed the border into China from Russia's Jewish Autonomous Region.

The traces of the tiger were found in Lesser Khingan, a mountain range in China's Heilongjiang province, adjacent to Russia's Amur Region and Jewish Autonomous Region.

A team of experts has been dispatched to the area to identify the traces and confirm the location.

Russian experts said on Friday that the tiger had moved northwest in the direction of Lesser Khingan.

The tiger's tracking device showed that it had approached the Taipinggou Nature Reserve in Luobei County on Thursday.
