Hackers target website of Central Government liaison office in HK  

香港中聯辦官網連遭惡意攻擊

10月8日、9日，中央人民政府駐香港特別行政區聯絡辦公室官方網站兩次遭到惡意攻擊，導致正常訪問一度受阻。中聯辦9日發表聲明說，這種網絡攻擊行為違反法律，違悖公德，中聯辦已向警方報案。目前網站已恢復正常運行。 [查看全文]

Hong Kong (CNS) -- The official website of the Central People's Government liaison office in Hong Kong was maliciously hacked on both Wednesday and Thursday, with attempts to access the portal temporarily blocked.

The site has since been restored.

On Thursday, the liaison office announced it had reported the attacks to police, saying such acts violated the law and social morality.

The cyber attacks accompanied the recent Occupy Central demonstrations, with a news site run by Hong Kong authorities also affected.

Local police have detained five people suspected of providing hacking software used in the attack one official websites.
