Farmer invents suitcase scooter with top speed of 20 km/h

(ECNS) – A farmer in Hunan province has invented an electronic suitcase that also functions as a scooter.

With three small wheels, the scooter can travel 50 to 60 kilometers on a single charge and is capable of moving at 20 kilometers per hour.

The scooter's inventor He Liangcai only received a primary school education and the invention took him more than 10 years to accomplish. He has named it "Liangcai" after himself.

He said his invention can help travelers who have difficulty getting taxis, as well as urban workers who have to deal with regular traffic jams. It may also help relieve noise and air pollution, he added.

The suitcase scooter has received a national patent.
