Michelle Obama and family staying in $8,000 suite in China

(ECNS) -- Visiting US First Lady Michelle Obama and her family arrived in Beijing on Thursday afternoon before settling into the Presidential Suite at the Westin Hotel in Chaoyang district, cnr.cn reported on Friday.  [Special coverage]

It is the hotel's only Presidential Suite and costs 52,000 yuan ($8,350) per day.

Security posts are arranged at both gates of the hotel and visitors must be searched before entering.
