(ECNS) – In the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), foreign films and dramas are broadcast on television occasionally, and most of them are from China, according to China central Television (CCTV).

One of the most popular is "Lurk" (Qian Fu), which tells the story of a spy for the Communist Party working within the Kuomintang, which has been replayed several times.

Its hero Yu Chengze has reportedly become a hot topic among DPRK women.

Some popular movies such as "The Last Supper" and "Hua Mulan," costarring famous actress Zhao Wei, have also been aired.

Some Western films have also been allowed. In 2011, British movie "Bend it like Beckham" was broadcast to mark the anniversary of diplomatic ties between the DPRK and Britain.

TV is not the only means for people to watch foreign entertainment in the DPRK. DVDs of imported dramas can be bought in some video stores. "Toy Story 3" has been found in a store in Pyongyang.
