(ECNS) -- A daughter in Beijing has created a photo series imitating her mother's poses in old photos, the Yangtze Evening News reports.

The daughter surnamed Zhang took photos in the same places and posed the same way her mother had in old photos. Zhang then emailed them to her mother as a New Year present.

Zhang said her mother took the original photos when she was 25 years old, almost the same age that Zhang is now. Zhang asked her boyfriend to shoot and add brownish tones to the photos.

Zhang wanted to tell her mother that she is "still the most beautiful woman." She also wrote to her mother that "We have similar smiles, and your youth is reborn in me."

The photos were posted online and moved many netizens to tears.
