(ECNS) -- A gold sculpture of "the Goddess Chang'e flying to the moon" was released at Beijing's Diaoyutai State House on Monday to mark the upcoming launch of the Chang'e-3 moon probe.

The sculpture is the latest limited-edition precious-metal product released by the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC).

The sculpture was made by renowned Chinese artist Yuan Xikun and is the world's only gold artwork embedded with rocket debris. Yuan spent half a year making the piece.

The sculpture's launch ceremony was held by several organizations, including the ICBC and the center of lunar exploration and space engineering.

Chang'e is the Chinese moon goddess. China's first unmanned missions to the moon are named in honor of her.
