Forensic expert joins China’s top procuratorate

(ECNS) -- Henry Chang-Yu Lee, a famous Chinese American forensic scientist, has accepted a consultant position at a research center under the Supreme People's Procuratorate, according to the center on Thursday.

"Thank you for inviting me to serve as a consultant for the China Prosecutorial Technology Research Center. I am happy to inform you that I will be able to participate,"Li said in an email to the center.

An official at the center said he is delighted that Lee could join them and that the center welcomes more leading experts to join the center's forensic expert council.

As one of the world's foremost forensic scientists, Lee once worked on famous cases such as the JonBenét Ramsey murder, the Helle Crafts woodchipper murder, and the O.J. Simpson and Laci Peterson cases.
