(ECNS) — As college graduates in China are trying to survive the toughest job-hunting season this year, an increasing number of employees still have the intention to switch jobs, according to survey results released Thursday by www.11-22.cn, the first online platform on workplace integrity.
According to the survey, only 20 percent of the job-hoppers get a pay raise after switching jobs, while 33 percent say their salaries remain the same, and 23 percent admit getting less pay after changing jobs.
Those with two to five years of work experience have gone through sharp fluctuations in salary, with many losing as much as 20 percent of their wages following a job switch.
Statistics show that only 34 percent of the job-hoppers gained satisfaction from job-hopping in 2012, down 5 percent from 2011;20 percent of the job-hoppers feel frustrated due to aimless job-hopping, up nearly 6 percentage points from 2011. And almost 39 percent of workplace rookies born after the 1990s regret their aimless job-hopping. But 45 percent of the job-hoppers feel it's quite normal and there is no need to make a fuss over it.
