Beijing (CNS) -- China Construction Bank Corp announced the opening of its Dubai branch on Monday. The subsidiary represents its first overseas institution in the Middle East.
The subsidiary, China Construction Bank (Dubai) Ltd, will provide services such as deposits and lending, project and trade financing, and investment and financial consultancy, the bank said in a press release.
The branch will focus on Chinese clients in the United Arab Emirates, especially large enterprises and high-end customers,said Wang Hongzhang, chairman of the bank, at the opening ceremony on Monday.
The subsidiary will provide quality services that can contribute to the economic growth and trade flows of the United Arab Emirates, Wang added.
Being one of the world's largest commercial banks by market value, China Construction Bank accelerated its pace of entering the international market this year.
The bank set up a branch in Russia in March, and got the green light for branches in Taipei and San Francisco earlier this year. It is also working on plans to set up institutions in Toronto and Luxembourg.
