Beijing (CNS) -- BRICS can provide a sound platform for developing countries to promote global governance reform, according to a blue paper released by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) on Tuesday.
The blue paper not only reviews the economic performance of BRICS countries in 2013, but also analyzes the importance of BRICS in promoting reforms in global governance.
The blue paper predicts that the economic aggregate of developing countries and emerging economies is expected to surpass the level of developed countries in 2013.
The trend means that the role of developing nations in the international arena has become more important. BRICS can thus provide a sound platform for the community of developing countries to express their political positions on a wide range of global issues, and further promote the reform of global governance.
The blue paper by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, a 2013 development report for BRICS countries, was released at a press conference in Beijing.
