Fuzhou (CNS) -- A Confucius Institute jointly launched by Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University and the Durban University of Technology will open at the end of March in South Africa.
Building a Confucius Institute in South Africa represents an important strategy for China's Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University to promote Chinese culture overseas.
Based on the move, the two universities will pursue educational and cultural exchanges, such as scholar and student exchanges.
The two universities will also cooperate in six subjects, including tea science, science of bees, landscape architecture, and Chinese language.
The Durban University of Technology in South Africa was founded in 2002, and today it has over 20,000 students.
