Gary Locke hopes to see more US-Hunan cooperation

美國駐華大使駱家輝25日在與湖南省委書記、省長徐守盛會見時表示，希望中部省份湖南強化與美國的合作，實現互利雙贏。

Changsha (CNS) -- US Ambassador to China Gary Locke said he hoped to see more cooperation between enterprises from the US and Hunan province.

Locke made the remarks at a meeting Monday with Hunan Governor Xu Shousheng in Changsha.

With its convenient transportation and abundant resources, Hunan has emerged as a sound investment destination for American businesses, Locke said.

American businesses have also been seeking cooperation opportunities with their counterparts in Hunan province.

By using its advantages in green energy and technologies, American businesses can help boost the economic development of Hunan province, said Locke.

Locke also said that he hoped his visit to Hunan can help boost exchanges between governments and businesses of both countries.

Locke arrived in Hunan province on Sunday. During his stay in Changsha, he visited the Radio, Film and TV Bureau of Hunan province, and attended a business seminar.
