Taiwan to increase mainland visitor quotas  

臺當局:陸客赴臺數調高至每日5000人 擬4月調整

據臺灣“中央社”報道，臺當局交通部門報告指出，大陸旅客赴臺數將調高為每日5000人次，自由行陸客則調為2000人次，預計4月實施。

Ecns - Taiwan's transport authority has said it will increase the number of daily mainland group visitors to 5,000 a day and the number of individual visitors to 2,000 a day.

The number of mainland visitors has increased steadily and their overall satisfaction has reached 98 percent, according to the transport authority.

The increased quotas are expected to take effect from April this year.

Taiwan aims to attract an annual 10 million visitors from outside the region by 2016. It intends to attract 7.7 million visitors this year.
