公安部：戶籍改革明顯加快 三年2500萬人農轉非

中國公安部副部長黃明6日表示，中國戶籍制度改革的步伐已經明顯加快，力度明顯加大。2010年至2012年，中國共辦理戶口“農轉非”2500多萬人，為前三年的2.2倍。2012年中國非農業戶口人口所占比重已經達到35.29%。

Beijing (CNS) -- A total of 25 million rural citizens have moved into urban households in the past three years, more than twice the number from 2007 to 2009, a senior official said.

Huang Ming, vice minister of public security, said on Wednesday during the two sessions that the residential system reform was accelerated and the urban population reached 35.3 percent by the end of 2012.

He also admitted that many problems in the household registration reform demand prompt solutions and said policies will be implemented this year to better protect rural citizens.

More residence permits will be given to migrant workers who have stable jobs and fixed residences in the cities where they work, Huang added.
