武漢市自2012年提出建設國家中心城市后,城市基礎設施建設步伐的提速。繼去年城市建設投資1150億元后,今年將再次投入1300多億元,其中軌道交通和過江通道建設成為重點。
Wuhan (CNS) – Wuhan, the capital of central China's Hubei province, will invest 130 billion yuan (US$20.7 billion) this year toward making it a 'key' city, a local official said Sunday.
Investments will focus on an urban track transportation system and passageways across the Yangtze River. Railways, subways, a tunnel and four bridges crossing the Yangtze will be built this year, according to the plan.
Wuhan is the first city to link each region of China with high-speed railways. Its Metro Line 2 is the first subway in China to cross the Yangtze.
The city is making great efforts to become the country's creative, manufacturing, business and logistics center, said Wuhan Mayor Tang Liangzhi.
