2012年中國黃金產量突破400噸大關，達到403.047噸，再創歷史新高，連續六年居世界第一。

Beijing (CNS)-- China's total gold output reached a record high and ranked the highest in the world for the sixth consecutive year in 2012, according to the China Gold Association on Wednesday.

The country's gold output rose 11.66 percent year-on-year to 403.047 tons last year, the association said.

The China National Gold Group Corporation, Shandong Gold Group and Zijin Mining Group contributed 46.23 percent of the total output.

The development of the gold industry can help the country improve its comprehensive national power, the association said.

China is home to more than 500 gold producing cities and counties. The industry has emerged as a pillar industry in over 100 cities.
