Guangzhou to hold kindergarten enrollment lottery   

今年起廣州公辦幼兒園將實(shí)行搖號(hào)招生

廣州市十個(gè)部門(mén)負(fù)責(zé)人22日下午集體出席市人大十四屆三次會(huì)議記者招待會(huì)，市教育局局長(zhǎng)屈哨兵會(huì)上表示，今年開(kāi)始，廣州將實(shí)行公辦幼兒園搖號(hào)招生，具體方案將于4月出臺(tái)。

Guangzhou (CNS) – Guangzhou's public kindergartens will carry out an enrollment lottery this year to address various problems such as high admission fees, according to Qu Shaobing, director of the Guangzhou Education Bureau, on Tuesday.

Families can enroll at both district- and municipal-level kindergartens, but they can only select one if they win the lottery, and it's non-transferable, Qu said at a press conference.

Qu also said the city will strengthen security at schools.

Further details of the lottery are to be released this April.
