Wuhan airport to launch U.S. route   

武漢機(jī)場國際航線達(dá)20條 邁向華中國際門戶樞紐

武漢市政府30日宣布，2天后的2013年1月1日，中國國航將開通武漢—北京—洛杉磯聯(lián)程航線。屆時(shí)，武漢既是華中通航美國(客運(yùn))的唯一城市，又是華中地區(qū)擁有國際航線最多達(dá)到20條的城市，正逐步邁向華中地區(qū)的國際門戶樞紐。

Wuhan (CNS) -- Air China's Hubei branch will launch a Wuhan-Beijing-Los Angeles route on Jan. 1, the Wuhan municipal government announced Sunday.

The past few years have witnessed closer economic ties between Wuhan and the United States, said Jiang Tiebing, Wuhan's deputy secretary general.

Flights to Australia, Dubai and Kuala Lumpur are also being planned, Jiang said, adding that there will be flights to Seoul, Singapore, Bangkok and Kaohsiung, as well Thailand's Chiang Mai and Da Nang in Vietnam.

A Wuhan-Shanghai-Los Angeles route is scheduled for April, he said.
