中國(guó)環(huán)境保護(hù)部新聞發(fā)言人陶德田27日公布，2011年，中國(guó)全國(guó)機(jī)動(dòng)車(chē)排放污染物4607.9萬(wàn)噸，機(jī)動(dòng)車(chē)污染已成為中國(guó)空氣污染的重要來(lái)源，機(jī)動(dòng)車(chē)污染防治緊迫性日益凸顯。
BEIJING (CNS) – Emissions from motor vehicles have become the main source of air pollution in China, according to a report issued Thursday by the Ministry of Environmental Protection (MEP).
The volume of pollutants generated by motor vehicles in China amounted to 46.07 million tons in 2011, the report said.
The report also found that the number of cars owned by Chinese citizens last year jumped to 207 million, 30 times as many as in 1980.
The Ministry of Environmental Protection will redouble its efforts to conduct eco-friendly monitoring of the manufacture, usage, and disposal of cars, so as to further reduce emissions from motor vehicles, according to MEP spokesman Tao Detian.
