北京著名景點天壇公園的西北外壇長期被一所園林職業學校占用。天壇公園18日對外宣布，這所用鐵柵欄圍護的區域將正式歸屬天壇，公園欲將其打造成生態科普教育中心，并有望于明年對游人開放。
Beijng (CNS) -- Beijing's famous Temple of Heaven will take back 13,000 square meters of land long occupied by other tenants, park authorities said Tuesday.
The recovered area is to become the site of an "ecological science education center" which is expected to open next year.
Currently 72 hectares of the 273-hectare park are occupied by the Tiantan Hospital, the Beijing Stomatological Hospital and other institutions, said Yang Xiaodong, head of the park.
The Tiantan Hospital and one of the institutions are scheduled to move to new locations, said Yang, who added that the park authority is making every effort to represent the landscape of the former royal garden.
